“…in a field of rippling pink peonies she picks the wildflower, because she too grew unbridled…”
— Sadé Graves, The Lost Girl
I’m Sadé (shah-day), spiritual life coach, facilitator, poet and storyteller. I am absolutely delighted that you’ve found your way to me on your journey to a more fulfilled expression of you!
Get Embodied Coaching is about helping you tap into your sacred wisdom to achieve your goals, take inspired action as you flow with the changing seasons of your life, and/or discover a new way of being and experiencing the world around you. (note: Get Embodied is also a play on my favorite Beyoncé song, so if you picked up on that vibe, we’re already cosmically aligned!)
“One day you will tell your story of how you overcame what you went through and it will be someone else’s survival guide.” — Brené Brown, Professor and Author
I too was the lost girl—stumbling through life with an on-again-off again relationship with Source, struggling to love myself because of the stories I internalized from others and from society, and being stuck in seemingly unbreakable behavior patterns that manifested heartache, financial insecurity, career stagnation, lack of direction, and situations that continuously depleted my energy. I refused to believe this was life—that this was living.
I was right, I wasn’t living, I was surviving. But survival was no longer good enough. I had to learn to step into a new way of being to flourish, to move from surviving to thriving. I had to learn how to be different, to change how I experienced the world.
Through reconnecting with Source and letting go of the stories I embodied I was transformed.
I honor the lost girl, her journey—her story—was not in vain. I stand here today not with a guide to survive, but a hand to help you connect with your higher power and discover who you are beneath the narratives that no longer serve you, to write the unique story you must embody to thrive.
After all this time, I will still pick the wildflower as she is a symbol of the audacity to live in my purpose and in my truth.
“If we believe in magic, we’ll live a magical life.” — Tony Robbins, Author and Coach
When I learned how to be different in the world, to stand in this new way of being, life became magical. When I came to truly know that life and everything therein was up to me, the Universe showed up in the most ineffable ways. Life got good. Really good.
And because I believe moments exist for eternity, to my younger selves, the selves who held tight to shreds of hope that things would get better, I whispered…we make it, my loves, we’re okay.
Of course, I still experienced the peaks and valleys of life—but now there was purpose and much to be discovered in those moments of pain and disappointment. But then, something began to feel amiss. The things I was manifesting seemed off, but these were the things I dreamed of—until my spiritual teacher so matter-of-factly called out—these were the things I dreamed of years ago. I had to hold in my conscious awareness that, today, I am a different person. I shifted and the gifts that Source had to offer moved accordingly.
I’d always imagined I’d help people be the best version of themselves, but something didn’t feel “right” about going into psychotherapy—I’m future oriented and will throw the past to the wind for the path that moves me forward. Then I discovered the coaching profession and fell head-over-heels in love.
My focus is to help women who share this future-focused mindset and have the heart and desire to learn how to be different in the world. To not just achieve their future goals, but to be forever transformed in a deeply spiritual and embodied way, in the process.
